If These Walls Could Talk...Oh, but they do!
Adding quotes to your walls will turn any room into a conversation piece.
This is an easy weekend project to do. Here's what you will need:
Alphabet Stencil
Stencil Brush (1/2 Size natural bristol)
Craft paint, your color of choice
Paper Towels
Some craft stores have pre-cut stencil quotes, or check out stencil sources on line, you can even have a special quote custom cut.
Pick a quote - for beginners I recommend something short and easy such as; Sweet Dreams or single words, like Image, Dream, Inspire, etc...paint it on paper first, then tape your sample to an area on your wall where you would like to place your quote. Find your center point and make your measurements. Once all of that is done this is where the fun part comes in.
Squirt your paint onto a paper plate.
Dip your stencil brush into the paint, then blot off onto your paper towel. (Remember less paint on your bush is best, you will want to use a dry brush technique). Tape your stencil onto your wall then dab your brush in the opening of the stencil. Continue from there. Once that is done, remove your stencil and repeat the process with the next letter until your quote is complete.
Craft paint drys almost instantly when working on walls. You will not need to protect it with a polyurethane.
Attached are some rooms ideas that I'd like to share. I'd love to hear your comments on this project, or any projects that you are thinking about doing, let me know, and we will get the right expert advice for you.
This delightful trompe l'oiel painting of flying pigs holding a ribbon is a comical approach to wall writing that combines the use of words and design elements.
The flying pigs -- or any other whimsical motif -- can be painted over doorways, around the corners of rooms, around frames, or as a room border.

This is a great idea. I am a writer and I did this in my office on the wall that is above my computer for inspiration! It worked out great.
