Our Office Cookie Swap

Not fully recovered from my Sunday night cookie swap, much to my delight our office also participates in a cookie exchange ritual too. Yes, we are so cool. Once again, there were some good cookies going around. Rob Seitzinger, editor of the Wildwood Leader and columnist of Cape Cuisine made my favorites "pitzelles," which were almost as good as my mom's if not as good (shhh, don't tell her I said that), while our Publisher, Rick Travers made "peppermint bars" - can you believe it, the publisher participating in a cookie swap, actually he is kind of funny, I have never worked with someone so enthusiastic about this time of year and the

season in general. Other cookies included thumbprints by Robin DeWeeze, graphic artist (her packaging was lovely) Jen Arthur, photographer made oatmeal cookies (she made a batch without raisins just for me - she is so sweet, Lauryl DeSantis made 7 layer bars (wow, had one of those last night awesome), Claire Mazella, paginator made sugar cookies beautifully decorated, Mary Place, graphic artist made chocolate chips cookies with white chocolate and milk chocolate- one word - yummie, Marc Bohan's wife made Italian cookies and cut out cookies that

were not only presented beautifully but tasted so good. I made a bunch of different cookies and chocolate peppermint bark candy which really wasn't the rule, but since I made 7 different batches for Sunday night, I had all of these cookies at home that I promised to myself I would not eat, so I needed to give them away and fast. It's really nice to do this sort of thing through the holidays, it reminds me that this time of year is all about sharing, but really we should practice it year-round.

Did your office have a cookie swap? Let's hear about it!
