Shop for Crafts and Antiques in Cape May over Memorial Day Weekend
CAPE MAY—Hand-made crafts, folk art, antiques, collectibles and more will be on sale over Memorial Day Weekend in Cape May at Star of the Sea Parish Hall on Ocean St. above the Washington Street Mall. The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) is sponsoring Crafts at Memorial Day on Saturday, May 24 and Antiques at Memorial Day on Sunday, May 25.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, search through a wide selection of country crafts, folk art, custom-designed jewelry and a choice selection of Victorian items during Crafts at Memorial Day. There will be numerous vendors including: Agata Designs, selling such sea glass art as jewelry, birdhouses and picture frames; M.A.G. Bags, selling handmade bags and scarves; Patricia Rainy Studios, selling original watercolors, oils, note cards and calendars; and C & M Crafts selling knitted, crocheted, and fleece gifts. Admission is $1 for adults and children under 12 are free.
Antiques at Memorial Day showcases antiques and collectibles dealers from the Mid-Atlantic region with a large and varied selection of small furniture, silver, porcelain, crystal and glass accessories, estate and antique jewelry and vintage clothing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday vendors include Yester Years Yearnings, selling glass, linens, small furniture and other collectibles; A Time to Keep, selling estate jewelry and silver; Old Cape May Cards, featuring Don Pocher’s collection of postcards from Cape May; and Meryl’s Antiques and Collectibles, selling prints, pottery, porcelain and dolls. Admission is $3.50 for adults and children under 12 are free.
The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Cape May’s heritage. MAC also fosters the performing arts.
