Press pic-Tim Williams in FC Cape May, NJ- Cape May Stage, Cape May's renowned professional Equity theatre, is offering a special opportunity for theatergoers on Friday, June 6th for Becky Mode's wildly hilarious one-man show, "Fully Committed." Cape May Stage, now celebrating its 20th anniversary season, continues to develop innovative ideas to enhance one's Arts experiences in Cape May. The latest offering will be a PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN night on Friday evening, June 6th.

This is the Stage's second season that PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN tickets are being offered to theatergoers. The Equity theatre strives to makes its performances accessible to all, regardless of ability to pay, by removing the economic barriers often associated with purchasing tickets to professional theatre.

"The staff at Cape May Stage hopes that many young people and their families - as well as senior citizens - will be able to attend Cape May Stage's shows during our 20th Anniversary Season", says Marketing Director, Alicia Grasso. "We want everyone to come see our restored theatre. That four-yearrestoration project is the result of generous donations from many citizens as their way of giving back to our wonderful City."

In ''Fully Committed,'' the central character is Sam (played by Las Vegas-based Tim Williams), an unemployed actor who handles the telephones in the basement of an unnamed restaurant on the Upper East Side. In a tour-de-force performance, Sam plays more than 30 eccentric characters from inside and outside a fashionable Manhattan eatery. The restaurant is "fully committed," but the phones never stop ringing! Through the course of one hysterically turbulent shift, Sam faces an outrageous influx of calls from his father in South Bend, the temperamental chef, snooty Maitre D', annoying assistants, scheming socialites, and many more.

Tickets for designated PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN performances go on sale at the box office a 7:45PM prior to an 8PM curtain time on June 6th. Patrons may elect to pay what they can for tickets - anywhere from $1 to the normal ticket price of $35/adults, $25/seniors and $12.50/students. Whatever tickets have not been sold for that evenings performance will be PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN and will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Cash sales and exact change only. Seating for all PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN performances is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

"Fully Committed" performances are Wednesdays thru Sundays at 8pm thru June 28th at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse of the Cape May Stage. A marvelous Dinner-and-a-Show package is available with 18 of the finest restaurants in Cape May. Call (609) 884-1341 for reservations and information or visit the theatre's web-site, www.capemaystage.com. This production is generously sponsored by Cafe Promenade at the Montreal Inn and co-sponsored by Cafe Tuscany.
