North Wildwood Participates in the Mayors' Wellness Campaign

NORTH WILDWOOD - "Put Your Community in Motion" is the mantra for the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute on the Mayors' Wellness Campaign, and North Wildwood has taken it to heart.

The City's Recreation Department offers plenty of opportunities for our

community to strengthen their hearts--and their entire bodies. From a state-of-the-art, free, fitness/exercise room, to adult basketball and flag football leagues, to aerobics, yoga, and Zumba classes, there's a plethora of choices to suit every taste.

In addition, North Wildwood takes part in annual Runs, Walks, and Marathons like Sandblast Beach Run and Tri/Du in the Wildwoods.

For those who prefer to set their own schedules, there are free outdoor tennis courts, a bike path and a long seawall where walkers and joggers can enjoy gorgeous views of the ocean and Hereford Inlet. For the kids, there are playgrounds, basketball courts, and a hockey rink.

The Mayors' Wellness Campaign is an initiative to implement healthy recreation in hopes of ultimately lowering health care costs.
